Cleveland Browns nab stud WR, K in 2022 post Senior Bowl mock draft
Browns Rounds 5-7
Browns Round 5, Pick 171, Neil Farrell, Jr., DT, LSU
Can tell you analytics should love him? Was named a PFF All-American after totaling 45 tackles, 9.5 of which went for a loss. Also collected a pair of sacks.
Browns Round 6, Pick 218, Cade York, K, LSU
The Bengals model of drafting a kicker looks pretty darn good right now. And with two fourth-rounders, as well as a compensatory selection coming after the Vikings hired away Adofo-Mensah, Cleveland can spare the choice.
York is in the LSU history books after connecting on a record 15 field goals good from 50+ yards. York was 15 of 18 this past season and 54 of 66 (81.8 percent) for his career with the Tigers.
Chase McLaughlin struggled down the stretch, especially as the weather changed. If the Browns believe he can come back and be great, fine. No matter what, the organization needs to nip this problem in the bud.
Browns Round 7, Pick 257, Carlson Wells, EDGE, Colorado
Had 62 tackles, 14.5 of which went for a loss. Had just 5.5 sacks, but 17 pressures and 15 3rd-down stops.
