OT Jack Conklin

The fact that Jack Conklin is a two-time All-Pro player but has zero Pro Bowls to his name is a travesty. His 2020 campaign was incredible and fans who were paying attention saw just how vital he was in 2021, especially after he got hurt. The team gave up far more sacks after he went down with an injury and no one could fill in and do the job anywhere close to what Conklin was capable of doing.

Despite dealing with injuries in 2021, he was still wildly effective, though that all ended when he suffered a patellar injury during the season. It’s not an injury people should worry about him not being able to bounce back from, the likelihood he recovers to what he was prior is very high, so don’t expect much, if any, of a falloff talent-wise.

That said, he still needs a massive 2022. He’s the team’s best all-around linemen and that was extremely evident when he wasn’t around. If the team is going to continue to assert themselves in the running game while keeping their quarterback upright, Conklin has got to be healthy and a healthy Conklin should be a Pro Bowler in 2023.

He’s also in the final year of his contract as well, assuming he doesn’t opt-out in the off-season. So he’ll likely want to do everything he can to get healthy and come back in full force so he can get a better deal while he’s still at the peak of his talents.
