Cleveland Browns must-have free agents? The DTs

Akiem Hicks, Bears, Grade D: He’s 32 and is now three seasons removed from his prime pass rushing days when he collected 7.5 sacks in 2018, and 8.5 in 2017.

Tim Settle, Commanders, Grade C-: Didn’t start when he was with Washington. If the Browns bring him to camp, fine, He’s not the pass rushing answer the team needs.

Maurice Hurst, 49ers, Grade C: He had a pass rushing pedigree, although he’s never logged more than 4.0 sacks in a season, which was back in 2018. What you gain in the pass rush will be sacrificed in the rushing attack. He was injured for most of 2021.

Quinton Jefferson, Raiders Grade C: if the run defense leaks, he can help clog the hole as a rotational run stopper.
