ESPN’s Booger McFarland expect’s the Browns’ running attack to take off after the Trade for Deshaun Watson.

McFarland talked about the pressure put on edge defenders over the potential of a fake handoff with Watson bootlegging out the other side.

Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt were great with Mayfield, but now they won’t be able to target in on the duo so much with Watson because there’s no telling where the ball will go.

Detractors will argue that Chubb could be hurt by Watson’s presence, because the quarterback will want to throw the ball 50 times per game.

The Browns probably will pass more, but that’s hardly a surprise with an upgraded quarterback. That said, Chubb, and especially those explosive plays he’s known to make, promise to stand out as well.

As for Hunt, I know he was injured a lot last season but I think people forget how lethal he can be in the passing game. Not only can he take a hand off with a full head of steam, but he can be hard to bring down catching a five-yard pass.

I look for Hunt to be the same type of threat he was with the Chiefs now that Watson’s under center.
