3. Dud: Cleveland Guardians 1B Bobby Bradley

Quote from the Giants broadcast during Sunday’s series finale: “It’s like it disappeared in his glove.” The comedy of errors that is the Cleveland Guardians first base position continues with Bobby Bradley as this star.

Bradley fielded a ball that should’ve been an easy double play. Yet the first baseman couldn’t pluck the ball from his mitt to get a throw off to Amed Rosario who was awaiting the toss.

Bradley hasn’t got a lot of opportunities to start the campaign, and is 1-of-8 at the dish with three strikeouts. It was surprising to see him get a start against a lefty and at this point, I’m not really sure the team’s long -term plan for him.

With Miller getting increased time at first base, you just wonder how long Bradley can hang onto a roster spot. Josh Naylor can play the position too, and it looks like the Guards will give Reyes an occasional game in the outfield, allowing someone else to DH.
