Cleveland Browns schedule: 2022 game-by-game predictions
Cleveland Browns Week 3: Win vs Steelers (3-0)
This is the first of two primetime games given to the Browns in 2022, and with the opponent being Pittsburgh, fans will be prepping for the contest 14 hours before kickoff.
The Steelers are down after losing future Hall of Famer Ben Roethlisberger, but with Mitch Trubisky in the mix, I expect Mike Tomlin to remain competitive. Big Ben was a shell of himself the past couple seasons, yet Pittsburgh was far from a pushover.
That said, the Browns have the better roster and should win this one, moving to 3-0 while also picking up their first divisional win.
Cleveland Browns Week 4: Win at Falcons (4-0)
What a month for the Browns. They get four teams who aren’t expected to make the playoffs, setting the organization up to get 4-0 for the first time since 1979.
Watson returns home for this game against the team that was also pursuing a trade for him over the winter.
The Falcons big weapon is tight end Kyle Pitts, but added a name familiar to Browns mock drafters in Drake London at receiver. They probably downgraded the quarterback position, trading Matt Ryan and adding Marcus Mariota.
Again, the assumption is Deshaun Watson will play all of these games. If he does, it’s a no-brainer: The Browns will be favorites in all of these contests. If it’s Brissett, he’s good enough to get it done with the weapons around him.
Remember, if the Browns would’ve gotten average quarterback play in 2021, their record probably would’ve been drastically different.
