These Cleveland Browns players will need big years in 2022 to return for 2023.

It really doesn’t take as long as people think to see if a rookie has talent. Genuinely speaking, save for some exceptions, if a player isn’t playing well by year two, they won’t be playing well at all. For the sake of the “be patient” crowd, who really don’t seem to understand how often players fail in the league, we opted to before compiling this list. This list is about the players from the Cleveland Browns 2020 NFL Draft Class who need big years to justify a fourth season.

The Browns have a lot of draft picks from 2021 and 2022, and upcoming in 2023, and that means players are going to get cut. That’s just a reality of the situation. not only is it likely most of these names are gone by August of 2023, but it’s also very likely some of them don’t make the team this year.

It doesn’t matter if it’s due to injury, production, scheme fit, or what have you, if the player isn’t producing by now, they’re going to be considered. Just so everyone is on the same page, we’re going to rank them based on the likelihood of them getting axed between now and next year.

Now, that means they’re likeliest to be cut, and if that means this year, then so be it. If that means next year, then so be it.
