Browns schedule predictions if Deshaun Watson suspended for 2022
Browns Week 1: Win at Carolina (1-0)
Even with Brissett under center, the Browns are still the better team here. Kevin Stefanski would be wise to unleash Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, with Jacoby Brissett managing the game and making a play here or there.
I still can’t believe the Panthers didn’t get the trade done for Baker Mayfield. He’s a huge upgrade over what they have now (Sam Darnold, Matt Corral).
Factor in Cleveland’s impressive defense, and this should snap the Browns’ Opening Day winless streak, with the last victory coming under Jeff Garcia and Butch Davis in 2004.
Browns Week 2: Win vs Jets (2-0)
The same recipe dialed up by the Browns against the Panthers, should apply against the Jets in Cleveland’s first home game of 2022.
The Browns are a better TEAM and Brissett can manage the game well enough to put the other playmakers in a position to show out.
Plus, on New York’s side, Zach Wilson is still very inexperienced. Defense is usually well ahead of offense coming out of training camp, and the Browns cast of stars should make life miserable for Wilson and company.
