Browns schedule predictions if Deshaun Watson suspended for 2022
Browns Week 3: Win vs Steelers (3-0)
A Thursday Night Football match-up awaits this rivalry game, as Pittsburgh commences it’s first season in the post-Ben Roethlisberger era.
This one scares me a little bit because Mike Tomlin teams don’t just throw in the towel. They compete and I fully expect him to turn Mitch Trubisky’s career around.
That said, this one is in Cleveland and again, Jacoby Brissett should be able to do enough to keep the chains moving.
Browns Week 4: Win at Falcons (4-0)
Who’s playing quarterback for the Falcons? No, it’s not Matt Ryan. They traded him to the Colts. It’s Marcus Mariota under center in a game the Browns should win.
The Falcons, besides tight end Kyle Pitts, don’t have any weapons, giving Cleveland’s defense another opportunity to show out.
I’d give the ball to Nick Chubb a lot, as the former Georgia Bulldog returns to the state where he rose to prominence.
One month and the Browns are 4-0. If it happens, it’ll be the first time since 1979 since it’s happened and Brissett will have been the field general. Remember, he need not be the second coming of Bernie Kosar. Rather, Brissett has to be smart and play within the offense.
It’s also worth noting: If the Browns had gotten average quarterback play last season, the team probably would’ve made the playoffs.
