Predicting Browns schedule with Deshaun Watson missing for 6 games
Cleveland Browns Week 5: Loss vs Chargers
A hot start means the Browns can drop one, and while we all think they’ll cream the visiting Chargers, the Browns probably won’t have the firepower to keep up with Justin Herbert.
Perhaps the defense balls and limits the Chargers offensively–if they do, they’ll have to hold Herbert and company to 10-17 points. There’s just no scenario I envision in which Brissett can go to a shootout in this contest.
Losing stinks, but the Browns get their first L of the season.
Cleveland Browns Week 6: Loss vs Patriots
The final game before Deshaun Watson’s return…I’ve been playing the schedule prediction game and I’ve had the Browns winning this one, but at this moment, right now, I think I’ll give the edge to the Patriots.
Bill Belichick coached circles around Stefanski last season in Foxboro, and while this contest will be played on the lakefront, I worry about Brissett’s ability to rise up and knock off The Hoodie.
My guess…this one’s going to be close and Belichick will figure out how to win.
So, with Watson returning in Week 7 in a game at Baltimore, the Browns are 4-2. Not a bad spot to be for a team with playoff aspirations that had to play a backup for the first six weeks of the season.
