3 Bad

Dennis “The Menace” Stefanski

Thank goodness the Commanders are awful, and completely imploded because otherwise, we could be seeing yet another game the Browns lost due to Stefanski’s incompetence as a play-caller. On fourth-and-longer-than-you’d-like in the first half, the Commanders commit a penalty and instead of taking the field goal points, he calls a designed quarterback draw that fails horrendously. If those three points would’ve made the difference in the game, this would be a vastly different write-up.

David “Drops” Njoku

David Njoku will always have drop issues. Its’ 65 degrees in Washington DC today, and to see Njoku drop passes, and disappear for huge chunks every game really makes his signing look terrible. Yes, he has tremendous play-making potential but what good is that potential when you have as many blown plays as you do big plays?

The offensive line

I think the offensive line is going to need to be re-tooled. The pass blocking was bad yet again. Yes, Deshaun Watson didn’t look great in the pocket and held onto the ball too long but some of those sacks really fall on the offensive line. They have not been good all year at pass-blocking and the three biggest culprits are Jedrick Wills, Wyatt Teller, and Ethan Pocic. Teller and Pocic are good at run blocking but watching them whiff on blitzes or get beat by backup defensive tackles is maddening. Wills is just an average NFL starter and is easily replaceable.
