Anthony Walker Jr.

Talking about a potential move to a 3-4 defense is an exciting thought, only due to the fact the Browns have the talent more needed for a 3-4 than a 4-3 at the moment. The team would need to bring in some talent regardless of what base they play but should they move to a 3-4 defense, Anthony Walker Jr. could be moved to an outside role, while Sione Takitaki moves inside. Takitaki is heavier, and all around bigger than Walker, making the switch an easy one to justify.

Myles Garrett would likely stay where he is, as JJ Watt did in Houston, and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah should get moved to strong safety, freeing up some spaces for the team to make some other moves. Making the moves already stated would allow the Browns to bring in a heavy hitter at the other middle linebacker spot and a pass rusher at the other outside linebacking spot.

That doesn’t even factor in Chase Winovich.

The move would be a huge one for Walker, as he’s not the most physically aggressive inside linebacker but he’s fast, smart, and knows how to tackle. Getting him away from fullbacks and guards, and allowing him to play more in the flats would maximize his skill sets.
