Landers Nolley II

While Landers Nolley II is listed as a guard, he’s 6’7 and can easily play small forward for the Cleveland Cavaliers if it means getting early minutes in his pro career. He’s a versatile player, and for a guard, is a tremendous rebounder, pulling down nearly six boards in his last year at Cincinnati.

During his lone season as a Bearcat, he had his best season of shooting as a whole, .476/.417/.750 and it’s that consistency to hit shots from all three levels and the free-throw line that should appeal to the Cleveland Cavaliers the most.

While some will wonder about his defensive capabilities, as long as Nolley isn’t getting run off the floor, the Cavs and fans don’t need to worry about the defensive capabilities of any of these rookies right now.

If the Cavs make the foolish move to trade Jarrett Allen, or if they trade Isaac Okoro, then the Cavs will need to worry more about the defense of the rookies they’re looking at, as those two men carry a lot of the load. But right now the Cavs defense is still the best in the NBA until otherwise proven, so there’s no reason to pass on a good scorer just because he may not be up to Okoro’s standards.
