The Browns make another big splash, this time costing big money, to bring in Shields. The Browns need a bigger stronger corner to pair with star Joe Haden. Shields can provide that. The Browns will need to lock up Haden as a part of the off-season but pairing those two corners, along with Bailey, gives Pettine the ability to be aggressive with his front 7. Shields and Haden also step up in the run game, securing the outside especially which is an added bonus. Shields should demand a big contract but will not be cost prohibitive. Captain Munnerlyn and Tarrell Brown could also be options for the Browns at the corner position. Both would be cheaper then Shields but for a reason.
