1. Browns Have What It Takes
Cleveland finished with a 7-9 record last season. Who knows if the team would have finished with a winning record and possible playoff appearance if they would have kept Brian Hoyer as the starter for all of 2014. Is this the year the Browns get back to its winning ways? Yes! The formula is certainly set on defense. On offense there are question marks still, but one thing fans can sure be excited about is the running game behind their talented line.

The Cleveland Browns have not had a winning record since 2007 when they went 10-6. Cleveland only has had two winning seasons since coming back to the NFL in 1999!
The AFC North is a division that is known for great defense and smash mouth football. If their offense can consistently provide the opportunity for the team to stay in the game, the Browns have a good chance at making some noise.
The good news is that they will not decrease in performance and success. They will improve. Cleveland can achieve 8-9 wins this season and would start up their winning ways again. I would be confident of an improve to an 8-8 record, but 9 wins is certainly manageable. If Cleveland cannot get at least that amount of wins, then one could say 2015 was not a success.
Johnny Manziel did look good in the team’s recent scrimmage in Columbus. That is not saying much though, as it was just a scrimmage. He should continue to improve in different ways during this preseason. I want to see him improve and be the best he can be, but I truly do not believe that will be enough.
He is going to stay as the back up QB and as long as Cleveland gets the McCown that played with the Chicago Bears (I know he played behind a bad offensive line in Tampa), then McCown should lead this team this season. Another year of learning will do Manziel well and if he is still on the roster next fall, then he should take the reins then.
Despite weaknesses, especially on offense, there are plenty of strengths with this 2015 Cleveland Browns team. With the season here, lets sit back and enjoy what hopefully is a very positive, exciting, and winning season.
