Arizona’s Secret Weapon Is Their Pass Rush
One thing I noticed while scouting the Arizona Cardinals on Monday night was just how good the Cardinals’ pass rush really was. It was almost common knowledge throughout the NFL that the Cardinals’ secondary was great.
However, it was the rest of the defense that was questionable in terms of talent and quality of play.
One of the players to watch on Sunday is Freeney.

Freeney is one of the better pass rushers of our generation. He is a seven time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl Champion. Freeney was acquired by the Cardinals as a free agent earlier this month. He was brought in to help improve a mediocre Cardinals pass rush to compliment the Cardinals’ defensive backfield.
This was a great move for the Cardinals, despite only being available for the team for two games this season– those being against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens. Freeney already has recorded a sack this season.
Bringing him in alongside a talented Cardinals secondary will be a great scheme to stop opposing team’s passing offenses. That includes the Browns passing offense unfortunately.
