Tight End: Gary Barnidge, E.J. Bibbs, Seth DeValve

The hope is Gary Barnidge will produce Pro Bowl worthy numbers for a second-straight season, and there’s no reason to believe he won’t do it.

Hue Jackson loves using his tight end, evidenced by what he did in Cincinnati. During the 2015 campaign while Hue was still calling the offensive shots in Cincy, Tyler Eifert was the team’s third-leading receiver.

The Browns should use multiple tight ends and an H-back. Tight ends will line up in the backfield and split out. They’ll become a focus in the red zone. They’re going to be a major tool for Jackson.

E.J. Bibbs should be the second-tight end going into camp. He didn’t see a lot of action, in 2015, but did see enough of the field in seven games to at least gain some experience.

A lot is made of what Bibbs can do caching the ball, but his blocking shouldn’t be overlooked either. He’s at the least–a capable blocker, which is why he should get the nod behind Barnidge.

Seth Devalve was a fourth round pick who could pose as a nightmare for linebackers. The 6-foot-4 Princeton product played receiver in college.
