A Record Setting Number?

Eric Pitcher

Well, right now the Cleveland Browns are on pace to go through 16 quarterbacks. However, there might not even be 16 quarterbacks that want to play for the Browns.

Cody Kessler is next and hopefully he can stay healthy. With Cameron Irving going down, that leaves a hole at the center position. That could require Hue Jackson to continue to move some of the guys up front around.

More from Cleveland Browns

Jackson needs to realize what he is working with in Cleveland. In Cincinnati, he had quarterback Andy Dalton. In turn, Dalton had A.J. Green and various other receivers to make big plays.

The offensive line was also better in Cincinnati than it is in Cleveland. In 2015, the Browns offensive line gave up 53 sacks. That was tied for the second worst in the entire NFL. The Bengals on the other hand, were eighth in the league by only giving up 32 sacks.

We all know Cleveland is a quarterback grave yard. And yes, we are all sick of it. Is Kessler the answer? No. A rookie QB in a failing offense is not an equation for success.

So the answer to the question how many quarterbacks will the Browns go through? The Browns could go through more quarterbacks than any other team has ever gone through before.
