The Browns’ Rushing Attack

The Crow continues to have his best NFL season. The third-year veteran is well on his way to meeting his personal goal of rushing for 1,000 yards. Crowell’s rushed for 274 yards, which ties him with rookie Ezekiel Elliott as the league’s second leading rusher.

The Crow and Duke are the go-to weapons in a rushing attack that ranks fourth in rushing offense (434 yards) and average yards per game (144.7).

If the Browns can actually stick to the run, while mixing in some Terrelle Pryor awesomeness on offense, Cleveland’s weapons should make life a lot easier for Kessler when the rookie does have to throw.

The Redskins defense is one of the worst at stopping the run. The Redskins allow an average of 123.0 yards per game. That’s tied for eighth in the NFL.

“Calling the Skins rushing defense poor might be a complement. The team has been unable to stop pretty much any team that they have faced this season. The team lacks a true nose tackle, as Kedric Golston is out for the season with a hamstring issue. They just do not have much run stopping tackle, and they have relied on Mason Foster to clean up messes too often this year. They likely will not do well against the Browns’ talented duo,” wrote Riggo’s Rag’s writer Jacob Camenker.

Opportunities will be there for both Crowell and Johnson. Jackson just make sure not to forget about the rushing attack.
