Corey Smith, WR, Jaguars, Round 7 No. 227 Overall

Corey Smith saw limited action during his final season because of a broken wrist.

He does possess an ability to run good routes and has decent enough of hands. Perhaps special teams will help him jump start an NFL career, via Eleven Warriors.

"A strong special teams performer, Smith also has five tackles in his time at Ohio State and has been instrumental in downing punts by Cameron Johnston inside the opponent’s 20-yard line…Smith could get a shot playing special teams at the next level, either as a gunner or someone who tries to block punts. He did that well while at Ohio State."

Smith’s biggest moment at Ohio State came during the 2014 season, when he played important downs for the Buckeyes in the national title game.

In 2016, he caught just six balls for 34 yards.

Dontre Wilson, Patriots, Round 7 No. 255

If Dontre Wilson falls into this spot, he’d be the 2017 Draft’s Mr. Irrelevant as the last man drafted. Wilson looked destined for stardom after his freshman season, but suffered a broken foot in 2014 that really seemed to slow his collegiate career.

He was loaded with potential for Ohio State. Slated as Urban Meyer’s H-Back, some thought Wilson could become his class’ version of Percy Harvin.

It never panned out and Wilson kind of became a forgotten man.

Other teammates, such as Jalin Marshall and then later on, Curtis Samuel, excelled in the role Wilson was to own.

But now college is over and teams are looking for a diamond in the rough during the later rounds. Perhaps that could be Wilson.

New England coach Bill Belichick really likes Curtis Samuel, but it’s doubtful he’ll be around when the Patriots pick in the second round. If Belichick can’t nab Samuel, perhaps he’d take a flyer on Wilson.

In his final season with the Buckeyes, Wilson had 27 catches for 352 yards, 16 carries for 78 yards and six touchdowns.
