Cleveland Browns 2019 two-round NFL mock draft: Post OBJ trade edition
By Mike Graham
Browns picks, Rounds 3-7
80. Lonnie Johnso-CB-Kentucky–Lonnie Johnson‘s logged just two years of stats at UK as an upper classman, playing in 22 games in the span.
Johnson had originally committed to Ohio State before attending Kentucky. He was stellar during the practice week leading up to the Senior Bowl, and he’s confident he’ll be taken in the first round. Obviously, I don’t see it that way, but the Browns are getting a stellar prospect with the 80th pick here.
Worth noting that he’s 6-foot-3, 203 pounds which offers considerable size at his position.
119. Gary Johnson-LB-Texas–At 6-foot-3, Gary Johnson just tried to make the case that he can do the same things a player who’s 6-foot-3 can do.
He helped himself with a 4.43 40-yard dash time at the NFL Combine. He led Texas with a team high 90 tackles, including 16.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. He added eight quarterback pressures.
144. Yodny Cajust-OT-West Virginia–Yodny Cajuste seems to be falling with medicals much like Tyrell Crosby did last year prior to the draft.
155. Daylon Mack-DT-Texas A&M—Daylon Mack has more of a reputation as run stuffer on the defensive interior. Is fast, though, having rushed a 5.11 40-yard dash. Not bad for a guy who weights 336 pounds.
170. Khalil Hodge-LB-Buffalo–He wasn’t invited to the combine, but he should’ve been. Khalil Hodge recorded no fewer than 123 tackles in his time with Buffalo. Could be a small-school find here.
189. Lexington Thomas-RB-UNLVHjalte Froholdt–If they like what they see in Lexington Thomas, perhaps Duke Johnson really does became available. He can catch it out of the backfield a little, having 19 receptions for 135 yards last season.
221. Hjalte Frohold-OT-Arkansas—Hjalte Froholdt started every game as a three-year starter, playing left guard and center. Would obviously need time to mature, but a solid developmental prospect, none-the-less.
