Weeks 1-4

Week 1, Sept. 8, Tennessee, 1 p.m., CBS: Love this game for the Browns because the Titans are a team on tilt. Is Marcus Mariota a franchise quarterback? The NFL has teed this one up for the Browns and the Dawg Pound will be celebrating its first Week 1 victory since Butch Davis and Jeff Garcia upset the Ravens back in 2004.

Prediction: W (1-0)

Week 2, Sept. 16, @ Jets, 8:15 p.m., ESPN: This is the Browns first of three non-Sunday games and it was something the expert speculators were calling for in Week 1. Welp, the NFL is making us wait a week and that’s fine. Pick up a win against the Titans and work out the kinks, then go show America what these Browns are all about. Baker Mayfield vs. Sam Darnold. It screams national storyline.

Prediction: W (2-0)

Week 3, Sept. 22, Rams, 8:20 p.m., NBC: The Browns are playing on Sunday Night Football, which is the king of all the prime-time television slots. It’s the team’s first appearance in this time slot since the 2008 season.

Their task, beating the defending NFC champs.

There’s going to be a ton of hype locally for this game, and fans are going to be going insane, tailgating for basically the entire weekend until kickoff.

How do you beat the Rams? Take away play action and put Jared Goff on his back. With Myles Garrett and Olivier Vernon coming from the edge, I like the Browns chances. Let me re-phrase that. Ten years in the freaking making!? They better win this one.

Prediction: W (3-0)

Week 4, Sept. 29, @ Ravens, 1 p.m., CBS: By this point, the Browns will have played two primetime games, which has this one feeling like a bit of a letdown game. Plus, Baltimore’s a tough place to play .

Prediction: L  (3-1)
