Baker Mayfield has a higher value than Myles Garrett

In the fantasy draft, Baker Mayfield went No. 21 overall to the Philadelphia Eagles after a run on quarterbacks started. Going before him in reverse order was Jimmy Garoppolo, Teddy Bridgewater, Kyler Murray, Matt Ryan, Drew Lock, Tom Brady, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Carson Wentz, Dak Prescot, Drew Brees, Deshaun Watson, Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, and Patrick Mahomes who went first overall.

There are not fifteen better quarterbacks than Mayfield. That’s absurd. Mayfield is a better player than Garoppolo, Bridgewater, Murray, Ryan, and Lock at least. Joe Burrow is an unknown so his commodity is all hope and no expectation. Brady might be done at his age but who knows? So that leaves Rodgers, Wentz, Prescot, Brees, Watson, Jackson, Wilson, and Mahomes ahead of Mayfield which is more accurate in my opinion.

Mayfield only being the 15th best quarterback isn’t even the most mind-boggling part. It’s that Myles Garrett was the 34th pick overall, 13 spots lower than Mayfield. Garrett was the fourth defensive linemen taking overall, and the third defensive end taken at that point in the fantasy draft.

While many believe Garrett to be one of the best players in the league, the fantasy draft showed that PFF scores be damned, quarterbacks will always be more valuable and in-demand than any other player in the league. No matter how good they are.
