Good

Baker Mayfield’s accuracy

Some in the radio media are trying to cast doubt over Baker Mayfield’s performances over the last two weeks, and it’s a bit concerning as to why. While it’s true Mayfield isn’t throwing deep balls as often as some in the league are currently doing, let’s not confuse “isn’t” with “can’t”. Kevin Stefanski is managing Mayfield and putting him in the best scenarios to win. If he’s completing nearly 70% of his passes, I’d say he’s doing alright.

Nick Chubb doing Nick Chubb things.

Did you know that Nick Chubb is really good at running the ball? Currently third in the NFL in rushing yards, Chubb had another big day. Like Mayfield’s performance, Chubb’s performance hits a lot differently against Washington than Cincinnati, mostly due to how much better Washington’s defense is. Seeing Chubb gut them like a fish while upping his YPC to 5.7 on the year is a testament to how good he and this offensive system truly is.

Myles Garrett does job as expected

While Myles Garrett’s two sacks were a great thing to see, it was also the expected thing to see. Besides maybe the Bengals, the Washington Football Team has the worst offensive line in the NFL. They have no tackles to speak of and their blocking schemes are just a wreck. Garrett was expected to have a big game against a team that honestly might have the worst offense in the league. Dallas is next week and seeing how Garrett fares against that offensive line is going to be far more noteworthy.
