Offense – Nick Chubb, RB #24

Choosing the offensive MVP was a tough choice. Plenty of the Browns’ offense has a claim to this at this point in the season. You could make arguments for Baker Mayfield, Jarvis Landry, or even Harrison Bryant. The tough choice came down to looking at the two powerhouses that are putting in the work for this Browns rushing offense, being Kareem Hunt and Nick Chubb.

The reason that Chubb stands out over Hunt is his sheer determination and unwillingness to crumble to opposing defenses. Overall career rushing yards for Chubb stand at 2,951, which is only 12 yards behind Hunt, who has a year of pro experience over Chubb. Chubb also averages 5.2 yards per carry, which is a half-yard more than Hunt, who has played 4 more games this season than Chubb and 58 more carry attempts.

Yes, Chubb is only sitting at 461 yards so far this season, a whole 172 yards less than Hunt, but Chubb has the opportunity to make up for that in the second half of the season. Another reason Chubb stands above is his 5 touchdowns in comparison to Hunt’s total of 3 this season. Kareem Hunt is not a slouch by any means, but Nick Chubb is a dynamic playmaker and a juggernaut of a running back. If Chubb continues to play the way he is, he could easily become the Browns’ Most Valuable Player for the 2020 season.
