The Conclusion

Despite what some will say, the Browns earned their way into the playoffs. They have 11 wins, and victories over playoff teams in the Titans, Washington, Colts and now Steelers and should’ve had a win against the Ravens. They’ve also done a lot of their damage all year when they weren’t even close to being full operational.

The Browns lost Nick Chubb and Wyatt Teller around the time of the first Steelers game, and as we’ve seen time and time again, the Browns aren’t nearly as good without those two players. Then there was the COVID-19 debacle over the last two weeks, where 12-odd players were forced to miss games due to contracting the virus or being within close contact to someone who had it. It’s also affected Myles Garrett to such a degree that he’s apparently still going through treatments to recover from the virus. To say it’s affected his play up until now would be a huge understatement.

The Browns have a chance though to make all that a moot point against the Steelers on Sunday. If the Browns win, then that will do more to heal the fanbase and help ease the pain of the last 20 years than anything. After all, the Browns have the Steelers in the playoffs. A win over the Steelers in the playoffs would be huge. Not just that, but a win over the Steelers with no excuses to make from Pittsburgh fans, would be even sweeter.

This is what this year has been building to. Let’s do it.
