2. Cleveland Browns WR Rashard Higgins

With Odell Beckham Jr. out, Baker Mayfield did what he usually does–spread the wealth. Eight different Browns caught passes from Mayfield, but Higgins name wasn’t in the box score.

In fact, he barely played, registering just three of Clevelands 48 total offensive snaps.

Unusual, considering Higgins is one of Mayfield’s safety valves. When the quarterback needs to hit on a pass, it’s Higgins who’s usually the beneficiary.

Higgins made news earlier in the week for liking and then unliking the re-post from Odell Beckham Sr. However, his lack of playing time probably didn’t have to do with the social media stumble.

Rather, it’s more likely Kevin Stefanski wanted Anthony Schwartz’s speed on the field, in addition to emerging all-around game of Donovan Peoples-Jones.

Factor in the tight ends–and Stefanski loves tight ends–and well, Higgins got squeezed on playing time Sunday.

Not making a big deal out of it yet, but something to watch moving forward, as the veteran was excellent after OBJ season ending injury last season.
