The Cleveland Browns loss to the Patriots still stings, as both players and coaches tried to explain how they could be shellacked by rookie quarterback Mac Jones.

A season of promise has now been thrown into chaos, as the Browns are a long shot to make the playoffs, sitting at 5-5.

It’s all still out there for this team, unfortunately, the inconsistency displayed by Kevin Stefanski’s roster leaves little hope that the Browns will be able to run the table in the rest of their division games to make the playoffs.

They’d have to beat Baltimore twice, the Steelers on the road and the Bengals in Cleveland during the regular season finale–a game where Cincinnati may be fighting for its playoff life.

Beating Baltimore is always a struggle, while I’m still spooked over the Halloween loss Pittsburgh delivered to the Browns on their home turf.

At times, the 2021 Cleveland Browns can look like world beaters. Other times, they play so poorly that leadership is questioned. It goes back to that word: Inconsistency. The Browns are the definition of it this season.

These six Browns saw their stocks crash in embarrassing fashion, and while there isn’t too much to smile about from Sunday, at least these three players saw their stocks rise.
