1. Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield

For as bad as Baker Mayfield was, the Browns had a shot to win the game on their final drive. They didn’t even need a touchdown. A field goal try would’ve been enough.

Alas, Mayfield couldn’t get the Browns into position to try an attempt.

I know, holding should should’ve been called–but you can’t hang your had on one call. Mayfield threw three other picks. The first one was into double coverage. At some point, you’ve got to cut out the excuses and ask yourself: Did you win the game, or not?

Aaron Rodgers was playing hurt. His offensive line is banged up. You wouldn’t know, it though. Rodgers teamed with Davante Adams to tease the Browns all day. If anything, it’s a credit to Cleveland’s defense that this thing didn’t get really out of hand.

I don’t know, I feel like I’m gnashing my teeth over the topic of what Baker could be, and what he actually is–and I think we know.

He’s a good NFL quarterback–probably top 15ish in the league.  That’s good, and Browns’ fans should know, but it’s not good enough. He’ll be back next season, because there’s no one to replace him with.

He was 21 of 36 for 222 yards with two scores, in addition to those four interceptions.
