Greedy Williams is going to be given a bit more leeway on this list than everyone else. That’s because he had a shoulder injury that caused him to only have two seasons of play to evaluate compared to every other player’s three seasons.

It doesn’t matter how many seasons a player has, every year they get reevaluated to see if they’re the best option for a team. Yet, you generally know after two seasons what that player is and what they need to improve. Three seasons in gives you a much better idea and makes it either to extend deals or cut bait. That said, four seasons are usually needed to see the clearest picture.

That’s not always the case, mind you, as Warren Moon was 31 when he finally broke out in the NFL. So there are always exceptions to the rule.

Williams’ first season with the Browns was awful, he was far from a good option to start for the Browns, but in year three, he showed a lot of improvement and helped fortify the team’s cornerbacks.

He’s still a work in progress, but Williams is on an upward trend and when it’s all said and done, he may just warrant a higher grade.
