Cleveland Browns fans had a rough season and Tom Grossi knows how you feel.

The 2022 Super Bowl was the worst-case scenario for some Cleveland Browns fans. The home-state rival, the Bengals, who were “rebuilding” in 2021, went to the Super Bowl alongside the Rams, who housed Odell Beckham Jr, a player who never wanted to be in Cleveland. All while the Browns struggled most of the year due to inconsistent coaching and inconsistent play from a wounded Baker Mayfield. Injuries to the offensive line, the receiving corps, and stunted play-calling all helped lead the Brownies off the cliff.

Tom Grossi, not to be confused with Tony Grossi, is a YouTuber who predominantly makes videos about the Green Bay Packers, but he’s also done a series of other teams fans reacting to seasons. They’re pretty funny and have gotten him some attention. Yet, his video on the Cleveland Browns is wildly accurate.

It’s not a fancy video, it’s just him recapping the season in front of the camera, but the topics he hits on are all things we talked about all season long. It’s painful to re-watch but it’s accurate as hell.

The Super Bowl proved some truths people ignored.

Grossi’s satirical video is a fun reprieve from the season and the Super Bowl that was, but the Super Bowl helped prove some important things; namely, that injuries affect a player’s ability to make plays and an offensive line with one weak spot is not a good offensive line. The Bengals Joe Burrow got hurt to start the 4th quarter and was extremely ineffective the rest of the game.

The Bengals’ offensive line, which started off well, could not contain Aaron Donald and instead gave up seven sacks. The Bengals, shockingly, or not so much, lost. These were issues the Browns dealt with all year, from Mayfield’s destroyed shoulder to the loss of the team’s arguable best linemen in Jack Conklin.

So while Grossi’s video really did bring up some pain, it also provided some laughs and helped highlight the fact that the Browns should be a wildly different team in 2022; assuming everyone is healthy.
